Boyolali, Central Java (ANTARA) - Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Saiful Rahmat Dasuki reminded the first batch of Hajj pilgrims from Temanggung District, Central Java, to maintain their health while carrying out Hajj worship in the Holy Land.

Dasuki, when releasing the first batch of Hajj pilgrims at the Donohudan Hajj Dormitory in Boyolali, Central Java, on Sunday, explained that there is a weather difference between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia.

He said that Temanggung District has averagely cool weather, and later these pilgrims will be in a place where the temperature is hot, with an estimation of 40–50 degrees Celsius.

"Hence, pilgrims are expected to maintain their health and physical strength; do not force themselves to do unnecessary things while in the Holy Land," he said.

He also said that pilgrims, as "guests of God,", need to keep their journey according to God's commandment.

"On this occasion, we would like to express our gratitude to all those who are involved in organizing the Hajj. We hope it can go well from departure to return to the country," he said.

His side also advised the Hajj pilgrims not to force themselves physically or to do things that were not important or outside Hajj activities.

"We also ask the pilgrims to pray for Indonesia, which just completed the 2024 elections and elected its future leaders. Pray that our leaders can make the nation even better and that unity can be maintained," he said.

He explained that Religious Affairs Minister Yaqut Cholil Qoumas had just returned from the Holy Land to review the final preparations for welcoming Indonesian Hajj pilgrims.

He said that all of the preparations, including accommodation, are ready.
