Minister Qoumas also reminded the importance of maintaining physical health, because the weather in Saudi Arabia is different from that in Indonesia.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Religious Affairs Minister Yaqut Cholil Qoumas reminded pilgrims to focus on performing the Hajj worship while at the Holy Land.

"We remind you to keep your intention right. The intention is to go to the Holy Land to worship. Please do not do other activities other than carrying out Hajj pilgrimage in the Holy Land," he said in a statement here on Sunday.

Minister Qoumas also reminded the importance of maintaining physical health, because the weather in Saudi Arabia is different from that in Indonesia.

"The weather in the Holy Land is very hot. So ladies and gentlemen need to maintain your physical condition. Eat enough, drink enough, and take vitamins," he said.

Qoumas asked Hajj pilgrims not to hesitate to ask for the officers' help if they need something. He ensured that the officers will help them wholeheartedly.

"If you need something, tell the officer. We the Religious Affairs Ministry and the Health Ministry have prepared officers who are ready to serve you. Whatever your need, conveyed it to the officers, please do not hesitate," he said.

The minister said that the pilgrims will face many challenges. However, he is optimistic that with the help of Hajj officers, they can carry out the Hajj worship smoothly.

"Once again I remind you to take care of your physique and health. This is a worship that needs physical strength, and the challenge is certainly not easy, but I believe that everyone is ready and strong to carry out the worship," he said.

This year, the Religious Affairs Ministry, with the theme of "Senior-Friendly Hajj", facilitates around 45,678 pilgrims aged 65 years and over.

The ministry is committed to providing the best service for all pilgrims, including the elderly.
