According to the statement received here on Sunday (May 26), OIKN chief Bambang Susantono and State-owned Enterprises Minister Erick Thohir informed about the new capital's investment potential to Mohamed Ali Rashed Alabbar, the founder of Emaar Properties, who visited Nusantara City.
During the visit, Alabbar observed the progress in the development of the Presidential Palace and the Ceremonial Plaza which is expected to be completed soon.
"Minister Thohir took along a major company from the UAE during this visit. We visited the new capital's core development site -- the Presidential Palace and the Ceremonial Plaza -- to showcase the development progress and the new capital's project readiness," Susantono stated.
Meanwhile, Thohir emphasized private contributions as a vital aspect of the new capital development. He expected that investors, who personally visited the new capital site, would be convinced about the project development and its investment potential.
"Earlier, Elon Musk and other international figures also came here. We expect the visit will convince them to invest here to ensure economic development (in Nusantara City)," Thohir remarked.
Moreover, OIKN spokesperson Troy Pantouw stated that the Emaar Properties executive's visit to Nusantara City reflected interest among international investors to invest there.
"(The visit) reflected huge interest from foreign investors to see the new capital development with their own eyes and their interest to consider every opportunity to support Nusantara City development," Pantouw told ANTARA on Sunday.
The spokesperson also emphasized that the Nusantara Capital Authority welcomes cooperation and investments from all parties, including national and foreign investors.
