Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Social Affairs has emphasized that the determination of social aid recipient data and the distribution of assistance are being carried out as per the law.

Suhadi Lili, a member of the ministry's special staff for human resources development, explained that the ministry verifies social aid recipients based on data submitted by local governments.

"We work based on facts," he said. "Data, findings, and verification are conducted from the lowest level of government."

He emphasized ongoing collaboration with various parties to cross-check social assistance beneficiary data and determine eligibility.

The ministry consistently verifies data submitted by local governments, the National Civil Service Agency (BKN), the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, state social security insurer BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, and state-owned electricity firm PLN.

"We employ a data verification mechanism, which even includes photo verification of recipients and their homes," Lili stated.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Social Affairs regularly publishes transparent data on social assistance recipients. This allows the public to submit reports of potential misuse through the Cek Bansos application.

The public can use the application to check who receives social assistance, Lili remarked.

"If someone appears ineligible, they can report it," he said, adding that the ministry will follow up on any report from the public.
