Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Presidential Staff Office (KSP) continues to oversee the development of National Strategic Projects (PSNs) ahead of the end of President Joko Widodo-Vice President Ma'ruf Amin's administration.

"KSP is overseeing national strategic projects throughout 2024. We are following up the development day by day to understand which PSN overlaps (with the other)," KSP Chief Moeldoko stated at the Presidential Palace complex here on Monday.

According to data from the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, the government completed at least 195 PSNs between 2016 and February 2024, with a budget totaling Rp1,519 trillion, or US$93.6 billion.

Some 77 projects and 13 programs are still in the construction stage, with a total investment of Rp2,960.7 trillion, or around US$182.4 billion.

The government has targeted completing 41 PSNs this year, comprising five projects in the January-March period, 24 projects for April-September, and 12 projects from October to December.

Moeldoko believed that PSNs still under construction can be completed if the government maintains its effectiveness.

"The main key is to maintain the government's effectiveness as much as possible so that no public services are disrupted," he stated.

Meanwhile, on a separate occasion some time ago, Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning and Head of the National Land Agency, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, emphasized the importance of clean and clear land to support the development of PSN.

"We have to ensure that there are no (land) problems in the future. Hence, the land status must be clean and clear to be utilized," he remarked.

According to the General Elections Commission Regulation (PKPU) Number 3 of 2022 concerning the Stages and Schedule for the Implementation of the 2024 General Elections, the deadline for the presidential-vice presidential power transition is set at October 20, 2024.

That day, Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka, as the elected President and Vice President, will take the oath and sign the minutes of meetings in front of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR).
