"During our visit, we were briefed on the worrying conditions of patients from Gaza. Palestine Hospital highlighted the need to increase its capacity and rejuvenate its old medical equipment," Baznas Head Noor Achmad noted in the agency's statement received here on Tuesday.
Achmad said he made the most of his visit to Palestine Hospital to discuss what the hospital urgently needs while exploring the potential for Baznas to contribute to the provision of the requisite medical equipment and medicines.
"Palestine Hospital spotlighted the need for proper services for patients coming from conflict zones. The provision of medical equipment and medicines is expected to help elevate the quality of the hospital's medical services," he pointed out.

The official then remarked that Palestine Hospital had been playing a critical role in providing medical services to Palestinian people residing in Egypt or their fellow citizens coming from the besieged Gaza Strip via Rafah.
"This visit is a testament to Baznas' commitment to supporting Palestinian people in Egypt. Hopefully, we will be able to help the hospital boost its capability of providing all the services needed," he concluded.
Meanwhile, Palestine Hospital Director Dr. Nabeel Roshdi Alshawa praised Baznas for its visit and offer of assistance. The director also revealed the plan to inventory the medical equipment the hospital urgently needs.
Alshawa noted that the hospital would inform the Indonesian Embassy in Cairo about the list of equipment and medicines needed.
