Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia is planning to highlight three main agendas during the 2024 High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships (HLF MSP), according to the National Development Planning Ministry (Bappenas).

In a statement received from the ministry here on Tuesday, Bappenas' director of foreign policy and international development cooperation, Hendra Wahanu Prabandani, informed that one of the agendas is summarizing the results of discussions and parallel sessions into concrete policy recommendations.

He said that the summary would then be used to support the realization of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals and the implementation of inclusive and sustainable development policies.

Outlining the second agenda, Prabandani said that Indonesia will urge the private sector, philanthropists, and civil society organizations to reaffirm their commitment to working side by side to support innovative development projects.

Elaborating on the third agenda, he said that Indonesia will use the international forum to push for the establishment of a cooperation platform that can help governments, private actors, and civil society exchange knowledge and resources in an effective manner.

"This forum is genuinely expected to result in various alternative solutions to tough challenges hindering development," he added.

Prabandani further said that Indonesia will make the most of the forum to reignite the spirit of the Asian-African Conference, alternatively known as the Bandung Conference, which was held 69 years ago.

"By highlighting the Bandung Conference spirit, Indonesia is determined to remind the world of the importance of solidarity among developing countries," he added.

Indonesia will organize the 2024 HLF MSP from September 1–3, 2024, in conjunction with the 2nd Indonesia-Africa Forum (IAF) in Bali province.

The HLF MSP will be a crucial milestone in the history of diplomacy and cooperation in international development, particularly among developing states.

Not only will the forum help countries find solutions to global development stumbling blocks, but it will also ensure that all parties share the commitment to playing an active role in collectively fighting for the implementation of the expected solutions.
