It is important for ministers, heads of agencies, and heads of government institutions to prepare effective policies considering that many Indonesian people are still experiencing difficulties due to poverty and hunger, he stressed.
"I have said many times that an independent country must feel independence. Let us not be proud to be member of the G20, if many of our people are still poor and many are still hungry," he said at the first plenary session of the Red and White Cabinet at the Presidential Office here on Wednesday.
He then instructed the ministers as well as heads of agencies and institutions to promptly prepare programs and plans, in addition to accelerating the completion of various priority programs.
Specifically, Prabowo advised officials entrusted with the task of leading the newly formed ministries and agencies to prepare their teams independently so that they can work well.
"Especially for the new ministers, please consolidate yourself, organize yourself as soon as possible. Your administration and your team in your respective ministries and agencies," he said.
"Team formation is very important, a good team, a team that can work together will make it easier for us to achieve the targets we have set," he added.
The Red and White Cabinet formed by Prabowo has 48 ministries and government agencies.
The formation of the largest Cabinet in Indonesian history was essential, according to Prabowo, considering the fact that Indonesia is the fourth most populous country in the world.
