The public complaint channel is a joint government program, Prita Laura said at a press conference at the Vice President's Secretariat Building here on Thursday.
"The Lapor Mas Wapres program is not only from the Vice President, but this is a government (joint) program, which means that both President Prabowo Subianto and VP Gibran Rakabuming Raka are present," she informed.
She said that the program, which was launched on Monday, has been integrated with the National Public Service Complaint Management System (SP4N), which is connected to 96 government agencies and 453 local governments in Indonesia.
"The Lapor Mas Wapres program that has been developed is a mandatory program for all agencies, ministries, and government institutions as well as local governments. It becomes a single channel to receive complaints from the public," she added.
Laura explained that the program is a part of government policy implementation based on Law Number 25 of 2009 concerning Public Service.
She explained five important stages of the Lapor Mas Wapres program that seek to ensure that every public report is processed with transparency and security.
The first stage is the receipt of the report for further processing, the second is verification to ascertain whether the public report is related to public policy or not.
"We need to verify the identity of the ones who submit the report," she explained.
The third stage is handing over the complaint to the related government bodies, the fourth is taking action to resolve the issue, and the last stage is receiving inputs from the community about the actions taken.
