"The president said that there will be no tolerance for corruption or other negative things that can hinder investment," Minister of Investment and Downstream Policy Rosan Roeslani stated while giving a press statement here on Tuesday.
Roeslani, who accompanied the president for breakfast, said that about 50 US business players, who are members of the US-ASEAN Business Council, showed confidence in President Prabowo's administration.
He affirmed that Prabowo's administration is committed to improving the investment climate in Indonesia.
In the press statement, Roeslani said that President Prabowo had promised business players that the rule of law would be strictly enforced in corruption cases. This stringency would provide a sense of comfort to investors in Indonesia.

The meeting between President Prabowo and the US business players took place from 10 a.m. to 12. p.m. local time.
Roeslani revealed that the meeting, originally scheduled until 11:30 a.m. local time, was extended until 12 p.m. local time on account of the smooth and enthusiastic nature of the discussion between the president and business players.
The 50 entrepreneurs from different industries, such as health care, food and beverage, tourism, pharmaceuticals, minerals, oil and gas, and digitalization, expressed enthusiasm regarding potential investment.
"More than 11 questions were directly posed to the president, and the president immediately and clearly answered how the Indonesian government is committed to improving the economy by maintaining investments that have entered and will enter Indonesia," Roeslani said.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, and President and CEO of the US-ASEAN Business Council, Ted Osius, were present at the meeting, among others.
