"Let us start boosting accessibility by improving infrastructure to ensure equal access to the government's finest services for all people," she remarked at her office in Jakarta on Sunday.
Speaking during a public campaign titled "Inclusive Public Services: For You, For Me, and For All," the minister emphasized that it is mandatory for the state to endorse and actualize inclusivity.
"The implementation of public services should go beyond merely offering service. It is equally important for us to respect the right of every individual to fair, just access (to such services)," she pointed out.
She expressed confidence that the public campaign for inclusivity organized by the Ministry of PAN RB would help Indonesia fast-track its bureaucratic reform for the sake of more inclusive and responsive public services for all.
"Let us make this event a momentum to drive changes for a fairer and more prosperous community," she remarked.
Furthermore, she reiterated that the public campaign is aimed at encouraging government institutions to pay closer attention to vulnerable people's access to public services.
"We hope that all government institutions will provide equal access to public services to everyone, including those belonging to vulnerable groups, such as persons with disabilities, women, children, and senior citizens," she concluded.
Minister of Human Rights Natalius Pigai and representatives of organizations for people with disabilities participated in the campaign to echo the importance of inclusivity in public services.
