"We want to ensure that people who need medical help can receive prompt and precise handling," Head of the Jakarta Health Office Ani Ruspitawati remarked here on Tuesday.
Those health service posts are equipped with various health facilities, including examination rooms, medicines, and health personnel.
According to Ruspitawati, those posts are set up at various locations, including the National Monument, Lapangan Banteng Park, MH Thamrin Street, Hotel Indonesia Roundabout, Sudirman Street, and Jakarta's Old Town area.
The Jakarta Health Office deployed 118 health workers and 50 ambulances comprising 34 car ambulances, 10 motorcycle ambulances, two bicycle ambulances, two scooter ambulances, and two mini golf cart ambulances.
It also readied hospitals for referral, such as the Cipto Mangunkusumo Central Public Hospital, Jakarta Hospital, Pelni Hospital, Pertamina Central Hospital, and Kebayoran Baru Regional Public Hospital.
Ruspitawati appealed to residents to maintain their health, especially while engaging in activities in crowded places.
"Make sure your body is fit before doing activities. If you feel unwell, you should wear a mask and wash your hands frequently," she reminded people.
Furthermore, she also drew the public's attention to the importance of maintaining adequate nutritional intake to maintain endurance.
"By maintaining health, we will be able to enjoy New Year's celebrations more comfortably and safely," she remarked.
A total of 23 concert stages are spread across various locations in Jakarta for the New Year's Eve celebrations.
