Hafid noted that Shah has a strong global network, and her broad range of connections is expected to help strengthen the ministry's global partnerships.
Shah has also been tasked with promoting digital education extensively among the younger generation, particularly children.
Minister Hafid stated that she has received many messages from parents sharing concerns about Internet use among children.
"We want our children to be educated on using the Internet wisely... a familiar figure might resonate better with our younger generation," she added.
She further explained that Shah's appointment is not based solely on her celebrity status but on her role as an artist who can bring new perspectives and enrich the ministry's policies.
Hafid emphasized that perspectives from various backgrounds, including art, are important for creating inclusive policies.
In addition, she said the appointment of Shah reflects support for strengthening the role of women at the special staff level in the ministry.
On Monday, Hafid inaugurated five director generals, one secretary general, one inspector general, and several expert and special staff members, including Shah.
