"We have a stock of mobile houses of around five thousand units spread across several points. We will collaborate with the BNPB. If needed, we can distribute them to the disaster location. We have also prepared the stock for the coming years and included it in the state budget," Deputy Minister of Housing and Settlement Fahri Hamzah stated on Monday.
Hamzah made these remarks after attending a coordination meeting with Social Affairs Minister Saifullah Yusuf in Jakarta.
Hamzah affirmed that his side is currently holding discussions regarding real-time data with the Social Affairs Ministry and BNPB.
"If later the data is more up to date, the assistance prepared can also be faster and more real time," he stated.

Based on BNPB's latest data, Indonesia faced over five thousand disasters in 2024. Among these incidents, requests for rehabilitation and reconstruction focused on 17 types of severely damaged infrastructure.
The agency reported that last year saw significant infrastructure damage, including 95 bridges and 26 embankments or river-coastal embankments, an increase compared to the 2019-2020 period, when the BNPB received proposals for repairing 33 bridges and eight embankments in 2019.
Earlier, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, Pratikno, also instructed all regional governments to review the condition of physical infrastructure in each region to prepare for potential hydrometeorological disasters.
"All regional governments should immediately check their physical infrastructure. Make sure there are no blockages in drainage systems or other issues," he emphasized.
Pratikno also highlighted the need for thoroughly checking each region's early warning system.
