“We are opening our economy to investment and participation in the field of infrastructure, and we invite Indian groups to take part in the infrastructure program of Indonesia,” Prabowo said.
He also committed to accelerating bilateral cooperation between Indonesia and India, especially in the investment and technology sectors, by trying to cut bureaucracy that hinders investment flows.
President Prabowo also asked all his ministers to improve and advance economic partnerships with India for the sake of the agreed long-term strategic partnership.
Prabowo and Modi agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, tourism, health, energy security, digital and artificial intelligence, as well as information and technology sectors.
“I am also very pleased to have very successful and good discussions with many leaders of Indian industry as we discussed in detail the increase of Indian participation in our economy,” he pointed out.
The President expressed his gratitude to PM Modi who has opened up opportunities for Indonesia to study programs in India.
“We sent a technical team, and now we are implementing many programs which, for us, have been good examples in which we would learn from your experience,” he said.
India is one of Indonesia’s most important trading and investment partners.
