Chief of the ministry's Digital Transformation Office (DTO), Setiaji, said here on Friday that people who do not have a smartphone can register for the program at community health centers (puskesmas) using their ID card.
"There are two systems: one is using SATUSEHAT Mobile (application) and the other one is inputted at the health facility using ASIK (Sehat Indonesiaku Application)," he informed.
However, he advised people to register online through SATUSEHAT Mobile or WhatsApp so that the puskesmas can get information about them in advance.
He said that notifications will be sent to people on their birthdays regarding the health screening.
The first notification will be sent 30 days before the birthday and then another will be sent to check their membership status in the national health insurance program of state insurer BPJS Kesehatan.
"Then on D-7, the public can start registering to which puskesmas they will visit and the ticket number will come out. Then, there will be D-4 and D-1 reminders," he said.
Spokesperson for the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), Adita Irawati, said that the registration options offered by the Ministry of Health are based on President Prabowo Subianto's orders to provide benefits to the public in all aspects and to help them access the services.
Irawati added that the free health screening is a preventive measure to mitigate health risks that can worsen and is part of efforts to ensure the readiness of Indonesia's golden generation to welcome 2045.
The health screening program is one of the government's three quick-win programs in the health sector, apart from tuberculosis elimination and the development of quality hospitals in remote and disadvantaged regions.
