According to Social Affairs Minister Saifullah Yusuf, the action plan will be based on Presidential Instruction Number 4 of 2025 on National Integrated Social and Economic Data (DTSEN).
"With the data, we will see which region we can cooperate with various institutions in," he said after a meeting with Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions Minister Yandri Susanto in Jakarta on Monday.
The minister added that the real action that will be carried out will consist of social protection, social rehabilitation, and social empowerment.
Through synergy, he said, it is hoped that the ministries will meet the targets set by President Prabowo Subianto, such as achieving zero percent extreme poverty by no later than 2026 and reducing the poverty rate to below five percent by 2029.
Minister Susanto welcomed the collaboration. He said that his ministry and the Ministry of Social Affairs have entered into the strategic collaboration because poverty issues are often found in villages.
He noted that the collaboration between the two ministries also aligns with the sixth Asta Cita mission of President Prabowo Subianto, namely carrying out development in villages for economic equality and poverty eradication.
Susanto said that after the meeting, the two ministries will monitor villages categorized as extremely poor based on the DTSEN.
He informed that for the program, his ministry has readied a budget comprising 15 percent of the Rp71 trillion village funds.
