Therefore, she informed, the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs will continue to foster digital startups integrating AI in work processes.
The utilization of AI is expected to support the growth of digital startups more optimally and efficiently.
"We will no longer classify this company as ordinary startup or AI startup. Because, in the future, the trend is that all startups will switch to AI to follow the development of existing technology," she said.
Discussing the growth of startups, Hafid highlighted that the current survival rate or chance of a startup's survival after being established in Indonesia is around 10–15 percent.
According to the minister, this achievement is quite good considering that in many other countries, the survival rate is below that figure.
Recently, Indonesian startups won nine awards out of 18 nominations at the ASEAN Digital Awards, showing that startup innovation is a good solution to current problems.
Therefore, Hafid said she is optimistic about the development of Indonesian startups, which is in line with the government's commitment to increase community contributions to the digital economy sector.
"We are also sure that with more massive digital talent training carried out by the government, we are sure that this can also produce more startups," she added.
