Speaking at a national discussion in Jakarta on Tuesday, he credited the achievement to the hard work of personnel from the Ministry of Transportation, the National Police (Polri), and the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI).
“The number of accidents was 30 percent lower than last year. This is the result of the dedication shown by the Ministry of Transportation, Polri, and TNI,” he said in a speech broadcast by the presidential secretariat’s YouTube channel.
Prabowo also commended the Ministry of Transportation for providing efficient services during the Eid holiday, particularly recognizing officers stationed at airports for their efforts in managing aviation traffic.
He lauded police and military personnel for maintaining security and order across the country amid the surge in mobility during the holiday. He gave special appreciation to traffic police officers working tirelessly under the hot sun to ensure smooth travel flows.
Prabowo made similar remarks on Monday, celebrating Indonesia’s success in navigating the Ramadan period and Eid exodus as planned.
“Thanks to the contributions of central and regional institutions, we were able to go through the fasting month and celebrate Eid al-Fitr in a safe and peaceful atmosphere,” he said during a visit to Majalengka, West Java.
He also acknowledged the government's success in maintaining affordable prices for staple goods.
“I’m very pleased that basic goods are being sold at reasonable prices. This is a notable achievement,” he added.
