Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia's sovereign wealth fund, Danantara, has formed a partnership with Australia’s Future Fund to enhance global investment collaboration.

In a press statement on Monday, Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani said Future Fund is supporting Danantara’s membership in the International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds (IFSWF), paving the way for closer cooperation between the two institutions.

“We sincerely appreciate the Australian government’s support for Danantara Indonesia,” Roeslani stated, adding that this partnership strengthens Danantara’s position in the global investment ecosystem.

He noted that joining the IFSWF and establishing strategic ties with the Future Fund is a key step in reinforcing Danantara’s credibility as a global investment partner.

“We believe that partnerships with institutions like Future Fund will unlock new opportunities to finance strategic projects that support Indonesia’s economic growth,” he said.

Roeslani reaffirmed Danantara’s commitment to being a catalyst for inclusive and sustainable development while continuing to seek global collaborations to build a more advanced future for Indonesia.

Since its establishment in 2006, Future Fund has managed assets totaling more than AU$307 billion as of Q1 2025.

The announcement follows last week’s Indonesia-Australia Annual Leaders’ Meeting in Jakarta, where President Prabowo Subianto and Prime Minister Anthony Albanese recognized Danantara’s potential to drive national development and attract large-scale institutional investment in a joint communiqué.
