The first MoU, between Bank Indonesia and the People's Bank of China, establishes a framework for cooperation to encourage bilateral transactions in local currencies.
The signing was carried out by Bank Indonesia Governor Perry Warjiyo and People's Bank of China Governor Pan Gongsheng.
The second MoU involves the National Economic Council (DEN) and China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), focusing on cooperation in economic development policies.
This agreement was signed by the Chairman of DEN, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, and the Chairman of the NDRC, Zheng Shanjie.
The third MoU was executed between the Indonesian Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs and the Chinese Ministry of Commerce.
This cooperation aims to strengthen economic relations between Indonesia and China in the industrial sector and supply chain.
The signing was carried out by Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto and Chinese Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao.
Meanwhile, the fourth MoU was signed between the Indonesian Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, and the Fujian Provincial Government of China.
This MoU covers cooperation in the "Two Countries Twin Parks" program between the two nations. Hartarto and Wentao were the signatories for this agreement as well.
Beyond these four pivotal MoUs, the two nations also cemented their commitment to collaboration across eight additional key sectors, highlighting the breadth and depth of their burgeoning partnership.
These areas of cooperation span vital fields, starting with tourism, as agreed upon by Indonesia's Ministry of Tourism and China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
In the realm of agricultural exports, the Indonesian Quarantine Agency and China's General Administration of Customs will work more closely, enhancing trade in agricultural products.
Furthermore, both countries are set to deepen cooperation in traditional medicine, with agreements forged between the Indonesian Ministry of Health and China's National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
This extends to public health efforts, specifically tuberculosis prevention and control, through collaboration between the Indonesian Ministry of Health and China's National Disease Control and Prevention Administration.
Economically, investment cooperation is set for a boost, marked by an agreement between Indonesia's Investment Management Agency (BPI) Danantara and the China Investment Corporation. This is complemented by enhanced strategic business cooperation between the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) and the China Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia, aiming to facilitate smoother business engagements.
Finally, recognizing the importance of information and cultural exchange, both countries have also initiated media collaboration between ANTARA News Agency and China Media Group, alongside broader news agency cooperation directly between ANTARA News Agency and China Xinhua News Agency, fostering a more robust flow of information and mutual understanding.
