Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf directly instructed the ministry's Director of Social Protection for Natural Disaster Victims, Masryani Mansyur, to deploy a team to the affected area for initial assessment and data collection.
In a statement received here on Monday, Mansyur stated that the ministry also assisted in clearing fallen trees that temporarily blocked access along Dr. Latumeten Street.
"Immediately after the incident, the minister directed us to act, so we coordinated with the Maluku Provincial Social Affairs Office and Tagana (disaster alert cadets) to accelerate disaster response," he remarked.
Mansyur explained that the logistical aid was distributed in two phases. The first phase included 140 packages of instant food, 100 packages of ready-to-eat side dishes, 30 children's meals, 20 rolled tents, nine foldable mattresses, five kidswear packages, five family kits, 19 blankets, and six adult clothing packages, with a total value of approximately Rp31.1 million.

The second phase comprised 120 instant food packages, 40 side dish packages, 12 children's meals, 10 rolled tents, six foldable mattresses, six kidswear packages, six family kits, 12 blankets, and six adult clothing packages, totaling around Rp23.1 million.
"All aid was distributed through the Maluku Provincial Social Affairs Office warehouse and was received by the affected residents on the same day, Sunday, June 8," Mansyur remarked.
The landslide affected 80 residents, with one person buried under debris but had been evacuated safely.
The impacted locations include BTN Hative Kecil, behind Sion Church, and Lorong Putri in Negeri Batu Merah Village, Sirimau Sub-district.
Meanwhile, the disaster response efforts involved cross-sector collaboration, including the Maluku Provincial Social Affairs Office, Tagana cadets, local sub-district and village officials, and other relevant agencies.
