“We are targeting more content creators to emerge as digital pioneers,” Head of the ministry’s Villages and Disadvantaged Regions Human Resources Development Center, Dicky Yosepial, remarked.
He made this statement at the Village School online launch event and "The Role of Content Creators in Village Tourism Promotion" webinar on Wednesday.
On that occasion, he emphasized the strategic role of village content creators in shaping a positive image of village development, particularly in the digital era, which demands creative promotion through social media and information technology.
He expressed appreciation for the synergy with the Indonesian Village Content Creator Association (AKDI), which has been actively participating in developing a network of local creators.
Yosepial affirmed that to enhance the skills of village content creators, the Ministry of Villages and Disadvantaged Regions has introduced the Village School program.
He elaborated that Village School is a program that combines training, mentoring, and technology-based community empowerment while also opening space for cross-sector collaboration to bolster the capacity of human resources in villages.
He further noted that Village School is a collaborative learning platform that combines online and offline learning methods and is accessible to all groups in villages, including micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) players, village officials, and the younger generation.
He also noted that the launch of the Village School program reaffirms the commitment of the ministry's Human Resources Development Center and the Jakarta Training Center to building independent, advanced, and digital villages.
