According to Gibran, the community’s understanding about the program, which is one of the priorities of the government, must continue to be improved.
“The dissemination of information to the community about CKG must continue to be increased,” he said while reviewing the program’s implementation at the Sukorejo Community Health Center, Blitar, East Java, on Wednesday.
The Vice President emphasized the importance of strengthening promotive and preventive efforts, including educating the public about the importance of following a healthy lifestyle, eating a nutritious diet, and carrying out routine screenings.
In addition, he underlined the importance of consistently maintaining the accuracy and quality of screenings and recording of public health data.
That way, the screening program can be integrated with other programs, such as stunting control, the Community Healthy Lifestyle Movement (Germas), and diabetes prevention, among others.
Gibran emphasized that his review was meant to strengthen the CKG program’s position as an important measure for creating healthy and productive communities in rural areas.
One of the program participants at the Sukorejo Community Health Center, Hartini, said that the screening included a dental examination and a heart health check.
Earlier, Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin said that 8.2 million Indonesians have benefited from free health screenings, and 8.7 million people have registered for the program since its launch in February 2025.
Three provinces have recorded the highest screening coverage: Central Java, East Java, and West Java.
The Ministry of Health has expressed optimism about the CKG program covering 100 million people this year, given the current pace of the program and its scheduled rollout in schools in August.
