Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian archery team bagged two gold medals in the finals of the 2025 Archery Asia Cup at Bukit Gombang Stadium, Singapore, on Friday.

According to the match results, which were followed online on the official website of the World Archery Federation from here, the two golds were secured by the mixed recurve team and the women’s recurve team.

The mixed recurve team, consisting of Ayu Mareta Dyasari and Arif Pangestu, claimed the first gold after defeating the Indian team with a convincing 6-0 score.

Dyasari and Pangestu dominated all three sets, scoring 35-33, 35-28, 35-32.

The women’s recurve team, comprising Ayu Mareta Dyasari, Rezza Octavia, and Diananda Choirunisa, took the second gold for Indonesia after beating China 6-2.

The trio took an early lead, scoring 58-55 and 55-30 in the first two sets. China responded in the third set with a 58-56 win, but Dyasari and her teammates broke the opponents’ momentum by closing the fourth set 58-55.

Choirunisa nearly added another gold for Indonesia in the women’s individual recurve final against China’s Menting Yu.

She led the first two sets 27-25 and 27-18 before Yu bounced back in the next two sets with 28-26 and 28-25.

The tight competition continued into the fifth set, which Yu won 29-27, with Choirunisa settling for silver.

In another match, Indonesia’s Yurike Nina Bonita Pereira won a bronze medal after defeating Malaysia’s Fatin Nurfatehah Mat Saleh in the women’s individual compound event. Pereira won the shoot-off with a score of 10-8.

In total, the Indonesian archery team earned four medals—two golds, one silver, and one bronze—at this year’s Archery Asia Cup.
