Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian Ministry of Tourism implements a massive campaign strategy to boost national tourism, so it can contribute to economic growth during the June-July mid-year school holiday period.

"The Ministry of Tourism has launched various attempts, from our #diIndonesiaAja holiday campaign to fostering collaborations with diverse stakeholders," the ministry's Deputy for Marketing, Ni Made Ayu Marthini, told ANTARA here on Monday.

She stated that the government is massively pushing the flagship campaign #diIndonesiaAja (meaning #OnlyInIndonesia) through the Ministry of Tourism's official website and social media channels to encourage people to spend their holiday at domestic tourist attractions.

The campaign is also widely disseminated through commercials on major national television media outlets as well as out-of-home (OOH) LED advertisements on prominent buildings along Jakarta's main road.

In addition to broad commercials, Marthini stated that her side is also working closely with Online Travel Agents (OTAs) to arrange special holiday packages as well as offer discounts for tour packages, airplane tickets, and hotels.

“Collaboration on tour packages designed by industry players to feature thematic promotions and bundled offers specifically for the school break is encouraged,” she remarked.

She said that the ministry is also cooperating with various tourism stakeholders, including local tourism agencies, associations, transportation providers, and the wider tourism industry, to support and host events that stimulate domestic travel.

Marthini mentioned that the Ministry of Tourism had participated in the ASTINDO Nusantara Travel Exchange 2025 on June 10, 2025.

Earlier in May, the ministry also engaged a number of Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and videographers to showcase East Java as an exciting travel destination to a broader audience.

Another key event, the Beyond Travel Fair 2025 in Bali, held from June 11-13, 2025, served as a platform for the tourism industry to promote various destinations, attractions, and tourism villages.

"Through these programs, we expect a significant increase in domestic tourism, leading to enhanced regional economies and driving national economic growth in the second quarter of 2025," Marthini added.
