“We have been tasked with building and renovating three million homes in a year. Our flagship program, and by far the most crucial, is subsidized housing through FLPP, followed by the Self-Help Housing Stimulus Assistance (BSPS) for renovation,” Ara remarked in Jakarta on Monday.
He noted that increasing the allocation for subsidized housing would also boost a range of related economic sectors.
“With support from Bank Indonesia’s policies, we have increased the allocation to 350 thousand homes this year. Each subsidized house generates at least five jobs. Hence, with 350 thousand homes, around 1.65 million jobs are generated—not including the broader impact on related industries,” he explained.
Meanwhile, BP Tapera Commissioner Heru Pudyo Nugroho highlighted the significant increase in the KPR Sejahtera FLPP housing quota for 2025.
“As of June 29, 2025, BP Tapera has disbursed more than 117 thousand KPR Sejahtera FLPP units out of the year’s 350 thousand target,” Heru stated.
“This year marks the first time in history that the FLPP quota has reached 350 thousand units -- a testament to our strong commitment to supporting the president’s and minister’s Three Million Homes Program,” he remarked.
The FLPP program offers subsidized housing loans to low-income families, enabling them to purchase homes through affordable financing. The government provides low-cost funds to participating banks, enabling beneficiaries to access lower interest rates, minimal down payments, and longer tenures.
