The visit is part of the National Police’s (Polri's) efforts to strengthen synergy with the Indonesia Military (TNI) in safeguarding border areas from various threats to public order and security,” NTT Police Spokesperson Senior Commissioner Henry Novika Chandra told ANTARA on Sunday.
Darmoko was warmly welcomed by the West Sector Commander of the Indonesia–Timor Leste Border Security Task Force Lieutenant Colonel Reindi Trisetyo Nugroho when arriving at the border post, he said.
He added that the NTT Police chief received a comprehensive briefing from the commander on the current situation and prevailing challenges in securing the border.
“This is a manifestation of the synergy between the TNI and Polri in safeguarding the integrity and sovereignty of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia,” he stressed.

He explained that the TNI and Polri personnel stationed in border areas are responsible not only for maintaining the law and order as well as security but also for helping the government instill moral and national values among residents in the land border area.
In addition to delivering the aid packages to TNI officers at the border post, the NTT Police chief also met with personnel from the police’s Mobile Brigade (Brimob) stationed there to ensure that they are all in good mental and physical condition.
“This visit shows support from our leadership to the Brimob personnel. The NTT police chief also shared a message of motivation, encouraging all officers to maintain their fighting spirit and loyalty,” Chandra said.
