Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo stated that the Youth Wing of Muhammadiyah’s KOKAM (Command for Preparedness) plays an active role in supporting the National Police (Polri) in maintaining public security and order.

“I would like to thank KOKAM for the support provided to the Polri in maintaining stability, security, and order in society,” he remarked during the 2025 KOKAM Mass Roll Call at Tridadi Stadium in Sleman District, Yogyakarta Province, on Sunday.

In an official statement cited in Jakarta, the police chief highlighted that KOKAM has been actively engaged in a wide range of activities, including its contributions to security and order during the Eid al-Fitr homecoming exodus and celebrations.

He added that the youth wing has also supported authorities in addressing public challenges, notably natural disasters.

He further commended KOKAM for helping the government strengthen national unity, keeping Indonesian people together as a cohesive community.

“KOKAM always aligns its actions with the government to promote unity and uphold national and humanitarian values in an effort to make Indonesia a nation blessed by God,” Prabowo emphasized.

Bearing that in mind, he called on all KOKAM cadres to continue to work in synergy with the police and to support government programs and policies with unwavering integrity, discipline, and dedication to the state.

“I want you to continue to spread messages promoting religious tolerance and harmony in diversity, making Muhammadiyah’s youth a force that safeguards national unity and integrity,” he told KOKAM members.

The general emphasized that a strong sense of unity and integrity is essential for Indonesia to achieve progress as an advanced and sustainable country.
