The Injourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) announced that several infrastructure improvements are underway at the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) ahead of the 2025 Indonesian MotoGP, scheduled for October 3–5.
“Infrastructure within the circuit and supporting systems outside the venue are currently being refined. Some installations that were misaligned or damaged are being replaced,” Chairman of the 2025 Mandalika MotoGP, Troy Warokka, stated during a press briefing in Central Lombok on Friday.
Warokka remarked that upgrades outside the circuit include repairs to the spectator stands and the royal box.
“The renovation of the stands is expected to be completed before the event kicks off on October 3, 2025,” he noted.
To boost public enthusiasm for the premier motorcycle racing event, organizers have launched various promotional campaigns for ticket sales.
“As for the details, we will reveal the full concept soon. However, for now, the premium tickets are already sold out, and sales for other categories are continuing to grow,” Warokka remarked.
He also noted that Youth and Sports Minister Dito Ariotedjo recently visited the Mandalika Circuit and expressed full support for the Indonesian MotoGP, alongside backing from the West Nusa Tenggara provincial government.
“Everyone is supporting the Indonesian MotoGP,” he stated.
Warokka also revealed that the 2025 MotoGP side events will be extended to six days, longer than in previous years. This extension has been coordinated with NTB Governor Lalu Muhamad Iqbal.
The provincial government proposed extending the side events to integrate MotoGP Mandalika 2025 with the local government initiatives and events.
“There will be activities outside the circuit as well. These events will be woven together into a single series that coincides with the MotoGP,” he explained.
The Riders Spirit Parade, held during the 2024 edition, will return in 2025. In addition to Moto2 and Moto3 riders, this year’s parade will feature MotoGP riders.
Furthermore, several riders are scheduled to visit schools located in areas surrounding the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (SEZ).
“Our goal is for the entire MotoGP series of events to help elevate NTB’s profile on the global stage,” Warokka concluded.
