Jakarta (ANTARA) - Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Minister Bahlil Lahadalia announced that national oil production in June reached 608,100 barrels per day (MBOPD), surpassing the state budget target of 605 thousand bpd.

"In 2025, the state budget target has been met, and this is the first time it has happened since 2008," Lahadalia stated at a press conference on the ESDM Ministry's first-half 2025 performance held in Jakarta, Monday.

Oil production in June 2025 reached 608.1 MBOPD, or 100.5 percent of the target. The average oil production for the first half of 2025 was 602.4 MBOPD, equal to 99.5 percent of the state budget target.

Meanwhile, natural gas production in June 2025 reached 1.146 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (MMBOEPD), or 114 percent of the state budget target of 1.005 MMBOEPD.

Average natural gas production during the first semester of 2025 was 1.199 MMBOEPD, or 119 percent of the target.

"The six-month average in the state budget is 1.005 MMBOEPD, but our current realization has exceeded 1.005 MMBOEPD, averaging 1.199 MMBOEPD," he remarked.

Overall, combined oil and gas production in the first semester of 2025 averaged 111.9 percent of the 2025 state budget target of 1.610 MMBEOPD. In June alone, combined oil and gas production was recorded at 1.754 MMBOEPD.

"This is the total for oil and gas. At present, we have achieved the state budget target, with a realization of 1.754 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (MMBOEPD)," Lahadalia remarked.
