Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia's pharmaceutical company, Dexa Group, has expanded into the Philippines to broaden access to healthcare products.

Through its subsidiary, Glorious Dexa Mandaya Philippines, the company has formed a strategic alliance with Ayala Healthcare Holdings, Inc. (AC Health) to improve the availability of quality and affordable medicines for Filipinos, Dexa Group CEO Ferry Soetikno noted in a statement received in Jakarta, Monday.

The partnership will distribute Dexa Group’s affordable medicines and healthcare products through AC Health’s network, he remarked.

This network includes over 800 Generika and St. Joseph Drug pharmacies, over 220 clinics, six hospitals under the Healthway Medical Network, and IE Medica, an import and distribution unit that supports the introduction of relevant new therapeutic solutions to the Philippine market.

"This partnership is rooted in a shared commitment to improve access to healthcare while maintaining the highest quality standards," President and CEO of AC Health Paolo Borromeo remarked.

"Dexa Group’s deep pharmaceutical expertise and science-based approach complement AC Health’s growing retail, healthcare services, and specialty care network. Together, we aim to reach more communities, deliver greater value, and make a larger positive impact on patients," he affirmed.

The agreement also calls for the creation of a joint committee and exploration of long-term collaborations in distribution, wholesale, and healthcare innovation across the country.

"This is more than just a commercial collaboration; it is a synergy of two aligned missions. By combining Dexa’s research capabilities with AC Health’s reach and social orientation, we are building the foundation for a more inclusive and future-ready healthcare system," Soetikno stated.

Dexa Group has developed clinically validated nutraceuticals and phytopharmaceuticals that are exported to global markets, he noted.

He said the partnership with AC Health marks Dexa’s first landmark strategic collaboration in the Philippines, a significant milestone in its regional expansion.

Meanwhile, President and CEO of AC Health Pharma Ventures, Atty. Yet Abarca, stated that the collaboration is fundamentally about serving the community.

"With APV’s national reach, we have the opportunity to serve millions of Filipinos every day. Together with Dexa Group, we can expand that impact by providing wider access to affordable, clinically proven, and relevant medicines that address the real needs of our communities," Abarca stated.
