Quarantine, customs, immigration, health, and security are now integrated into one system.
Tangerang, Banten (ANTARA) - The Indonesian Agricultural Quarantine Agency (Barantin) on Tuesday inspected the implementation of the new "All Indonesia" declaration for international flights at Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Tangerang, Banten.

Barantin head Sahat M. Panggabean said the declaration is a major step in aligning Indonesia with other countries that have adopted integrated border management.

"All Indonesia is a form of simplification and reinforcement. With a single declaration, passengers find it easier while the state remains protected. Quarantine, customs, immigration, health, and security are now integrated into one system," Panggabean said.

He explained that the initiative streamlines passenger procedures while maintaining strict safeguards. The unified declaration still requires detailed responses to ensure biosecurity, national security, and legal compliance.

Panggabean said the policy is also a strategic move to protect the country from threats such as animal and fish quarantine diseases, plant pests, and high-risk goods that could endanger public health and ecosystems.

The initiative, developed with the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, Immigration, Health Quarantine, and the Aviation Security Authority, represents a milestone in modernizing Indonesia’s border management.

He expressed hope the reform will boost tourism and investment by creating safer, faster, and more efficient travel experiences.

Duma Sari, head of the Banten Center for Animal, Fish, and Plant Quarantine, said her office is fully prepared to implement the policy at the country’s busiest international gateway.

"Together with relevant agencies, we ensure services are faster, transparent, and still meet national protection standards," she said.
