“Many people felt helped and hoped that this program could be held regularly and with wider coverage,”
Probolinggo, East Java (ANTARA) - The Probolinggo District Government in East Java has launched a campaign promoting the consumption of warm cow’s milk and boiled eggs to improve community nutrition.

The program, organized by the Probolinggo District Agriculture Office (Diperta) and led by its head, Arif Kurniadi, took place at Mantong Market in Kalirejo Village, Dringu Sub-district, on Friday.

“The main goal of this program is to provide additional nutrition to the community while raising awareness about the importance of consuming healthy and nutritious food in daily life,” said Kurniadi.

Visitors at Mantong Market received free warm milk and boiled eggs, which was warmly welcomed by local residents.

“Many people felt helped and hoped that this program could be held regularly and with wider coverage,” he added.

According to him, the activity is planned to become a sustainable program held at least once a month, with the hope that community nutrition can be better ensured even through such small steps.

Meanwhile, Head of the Livestock Health and Veterinary Public Health Division of Diperta Probolinggo District, Nikolas Nuryulianto, said the program is part of the government’s strategy to strengthen local food security.

“Milk and eggs are two essential sources of nutrition that are easy to obtain and have many health benefits. We want to ensure that the community, especially those coming to the market, can access nutritious food,” he said.

He emphasized that the initiative reflects Probolinggo District Government’s commitment to achieving food security, with the free warm milk and boiled egg campaign serving as a concrete example of how simple local government steps can bring a significant impact on public health.

“In addition to meeting nutritional needs, the program also encourages people to be more mindful of their diet and healthy lifestyle,” he added.
