Muhammad Arwani Deni, deputy secretary general of the Indonesian Student Regiment Alumni Association (DPN IARMI), praised the administration's strategic direction in defense, calling it more modern, structured, and aligned with the "total defense and security system" (Sishankamrata) principle.
In November, Indonesia is set to receive its first batch of new T-50i fighter jets from South Korea. The country has also ordered French-made Rafale jets to strengthen its fleet, with the first three expected between February and March 2026, according to Air Force Chief of Staff Air Chief Marshal Mohamad Tonny Harjono.
"The government is not only upgrading military equipment but also building a comprehensive national defense system," Deni said on Sunday.
He added that Prabowo had successfully shaped a defense posture that strengthens military capability while promoting public responsibility for national security.
Political and economic stability over the past year, Deni noted, has been supported by strong defense coordination between the military, police, and intelligence agencies.
"Effective security cooperation allows development to proceed safely and productively," he said.
Deni welcomed the formation of the National Defense Council (DPN) as a major institutional reform and a sign of Prabowo's commitment to integrated defense planning. He urged the government to expand civilian involvement in the council to ensure inclusivity and grassroots support for national defense policies.
To better connect defense with development, the government has created 100 Territorial Development Battalions and 20 Territorial Infantry Brigades.
"These units don't just protect remote areas — they actively support development in border regions and outer islands," he said.
Deni also backed defense modernization, including arms procurement and technology partnerships to boost domestic defense industry capacity.
"Technology transfer is a long-term investment in national resilience," he said.
He concluded by highlighting cyber defense initiatives and military welfare improvements while pledging IARMI's partnership with the defense ministry to promote civic education and national character building.
