Oka delivered the message while opening the 2025 National Generation Planning Creativity Jamboree (Adujaknas) in Tanjungpinang, Riau Islands, on Tuesday (October 21).
She said Adujaknas is not merely a competition, but also a platform for youth to showcase innovation, develop communication skills, and understand the challenges faced by their peers.
“When young people actively participate, it means they are contributing to development. The government has prepared many programs - it is now up to the younger generation to make good use of them,” she said in a statement issued by the ministry on Wednesday.
Oka emphasized the importance of youth involvement in strengthening Indonesia’s human resources, including supporting key programs initiated by President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.
In the first year of the Prabowo–Gibran administration, the government has launched several flagship initiatives to improve human resources, such as the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program aimed at enhancing public nutrition and reducing stunting.
In the education sector, the government has introduced the Sekolah Rakyat and Garuda School programs to expand access to quality education nationwide.
She noted that young people play a strategic role in harnessing the demographic bonus and realizing the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision through creativity, empathy, and positive behavior.
Oka also highlighted that adolescence is a complex transitional phase marked by ongoing brain development, emotional instability, and communication barriers with parents.
“Therefore, it is essential for families to build heart-to-heart communication,” she concluded.
