BPK Chair Isma Yatun confirmed Indonesia’s readiness during the second plenary session of the 25th INCOSAI in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, on Friday (Oct. 31), according to a statement released in Jakarta on Sunday.
“We are committed to organizing a meaningful congress that leaves a lasting impression and reflects our shared spirit of collaboration and best-practice exchange among the world’s audit institutions,” Yatun said.
Held every three years, INCOSAI is the flagship event of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI), which brings together audit bodies from 195 countries.
Yatun commended Egypt’s Accountability State Authority (ASA) for successfully hosting the 25th INCOSAI and pledged to make the 2028 congress “innovative, inspirational, and impactful.”
She said BPK would uphold the values of perseverance, unity, and wisdom that define Indonesia in preparing for the global auditing forum in Bali.
“The 26th INCOSAI is expected to become a key platform for INTOSAI members to strengthen collaboration, drive innovation, and reinforce accountability as a pillar of good governance,” she noted.
Yatun added that hosting the event would bolster Indonesia’s international standing while boosting the national economy through tourism.
The 25th INCOSAI also marked a milestone for Indonesia, with Yatun appointed first vice chair of the INTOSAI Governing Board for 2025–2028, alongside Saudi Arabia’s Hussam bin Abdulmohsen Alangari as second vice chair.
Meanwhile, ASA Acting President Mohamed el-Faisal Youssef assumed the chairmanship of INTOSAI.
Yatun said the appointments reflected BPK’s strong commitment to advancing the unity and capacity of the global auditing community.
