“A coverage of more than 50.5 million people is a major milestone in our national health efforts. However, the data serve as a serious warning that physical activity and healthy lifestyles must become everyone’s top priority,” Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin said.
Of the total participants, 34.3 million came from the public segment and 16.2 million from the school-based program, according to ministry data through the end of October 2025.
Among adults, the main health issues identified after physical inactivity were dental caries (41.9 percent), central obesity (32.9 percent), and overweight or obesity (24.4 percent).
Sadikin said the findings highlight that non-communicable diseases remain the biggest health burden for the working-age population.
He emphasized that the CKG is not only for mass screening but also for early detection.
“The earlier a disease is identified and treated, the greater the chance of recovery,” he said, noting that timely diagnosis can prevent disabilities and deaths from serious illnesses.
The data also revealed problems across other age groups. Among newborns, 18.6 percent showed risks of bile duct abnormalities, 6.1 percent had low birth weight, and 5.5 percent had critical congenital heart disease.
For toddlers and preschoolers, 31.5 percent had dental issues, 5.3 percent were stunted, and 3.8 percent were wasted.
In adolescents, 60.1 percent were inactive, 50.3 percent had dental caries, and 27.2 percent suffered anemia — evidence that sedentary habits begin early.
Among the elderly, 96.7 percent were physically inactive, while 37.7 percent had hypertension.
Sadikin said CKG data will guide future health policies and campaigns.
“We want people not only to recover from illness but also to maintain their health consistently,” he said, thanking health workers and local leaders for their support.
