Umar said the initiative began at UIN Makassar in South Sulawesi and will continue at UIN Medan in North Sumatra, UIN Surabaya in East Java, and UIN Jakarta.
He added that the conclusions will be submitted to the Foreign Affairs Ministry as input for international diplomacy.
He spoke while opening an international seminar at UIN Makassar titled “President Prabowo Subianto's Key Role in Promoting Peace in Gaza,” attended by global academics, including Boston University professor Robert W. Hefner.
Umar said President Prabowo’s speech on the Israel-Palestine conflict at the 80th UN General Assembly in New York in September drew strong international attention.
He noted that foreign observers had coined phrases such as “The Prabowo Solution,” with some commentators portraying the Indonesian leader as “The Second Soekarno,” a reference to the country’s first president known for his anti-colonial stance.
He said Prabowo’s remarks had gone viral abroad and reflected growing international recognition for Indonesia’s diplomatic efforts.

Umar added that Prabowo’s call for a two-state solution had influenced global discussions and helped ease tensions.
He said the government is now working on post-conflict plans for Palestine, noting that reconstruction and humanitarian needs will be extensive once fighting ends.
The minister also highlighted Prabowo’s proposal to send 20,000 Indonesian troops to Gaza as part of a potential peacekeeping force.
He said Indonesian troops could help act as mediators and maintain order, enabling conflicting parties to make progress toward peace.
Umar stressed that Indonesia’s efforts were rooted in constitutional principles and decades of foreign policy support for Palestinian independence.
He said the university discussions would serve as a platform to refine Indonesia’s narrative, build academic engagement, and reinforce its role as an advocate for peace.
