The competition also served as the first preliminary round of the individual dressage event. Indonesia fielded four riders, who combined for a total score of 207.206 points to secure the silver medal in the team standings.
Karen Leticia Herjawan recorded the highest score for Indonesia with 69.353 points, placing her third in the provisional individual rankings after the first preliminary round.
She was followed closely by Alfaro Menayang, who scored 69.324 points.
Dara Ninggar Prameswari finished eighth overall with a score of 68.529 points, while Auridania Amanda Putri placed ninth after earning 68.059 points, rounding out Indonesia’s individual performances in the opening round.
Team dressage scores were calculated using the top three results from each team. Indonesia’s total of 207.206 points left it narrowly behind host nation Thailand, which claimed the gold medal with 207.353 points.
Malaysia secured the bronze medal with a combined score of 195.235 points. The Malaysian team competed with only three riders in the dressage event, limiting its overall total despite solid individual performances.

The silver medal marked Indonesia’s third equestrian medal at the 2025 SEA Games. Earlier, the team claimed silver in the eventing team competition and bronze in the individual eventing event through rider Steven Menayang.
The SEA Games equestrian competitions are being held at the Thai Polo & Equestrian Club, a venue that has previously hosted international tournaments and is regarded as one of Southeast Asia’s premier equestrian facilities.
Indonesia’s dressage riders are scheduled to return to competition on Monday for the second preliminary round of the individual dressage event, with the final set to take place the following day, as they aim to add another medal to the national tally.
Indonesia’s contingent at the 2025 SEA Games consists of 1,021 athletes competing in 49 sports at the event in Thailand.
As of Sunday afternoon, December 14, Indonesia was ranked second in the provisional medal standings.
By that time, the Red and White contingent had secured a total of 112 medals, comprising 32 gold, 44 silver, and 36 bronze.
