Indonesia’s cyber security agency and the state planning ministry on Thursday signed a five-year cooperation agreement to strengthen national cyber security and support the government’s digital transformation agenda.

The agreement was signed by National Cyber and Crypto Agency head Nugroho Sulistyo Budi and Minister of National Development Planning Rachmat Pambudy at the agency’s headquarters in Jakarta, according to an official statement.

The memorandum of understanding outlines cooperation in cyber security and cryptography, including electronic certification, development planning support, data sharing and related services.

A separate cooperation agreement was signed by BSSN Secretary-General YB Susilo Wibowo and Teni Widuriyanti, Secretary-General of the Ministry of National Development Planning, to expand technical collaboration.

The partnership covers education, training and competency development, as well as joint campaigns and literacy programs aimed at strengthening the national information security culture.

Senior officials from both institutions also signed technical cooperation agreements related to operational, financing and investment aspects of cyber security programs.

Both institutions said the agreements reflect a shared commitment to enhancing national cyber resilience and advancing digital transformation in line with President Prabowo Subianto’s policy priorities.
