There can be no withholding of diplomas. That's not allowed,
Medan (ANTARA) - The Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia, Yassierli, asked companies or employers not to implement policies that withhold the diplomas of workers or job seekers.

"No company should withhold workers' diplomas," said Yassierli after handing over the ministry's assistance at the Medan Vocational Training and Productivity Center (BBPVP) on Tuesday.

He said the prohibition on withholding the diplomas was stated in the Circular Letter of the Minister of Manpower No. M/5/HK.04.00/2025.

Therefore, the minister asked workers to report any companies that implement a policy of withholding diplomas. He emphasized that his ministry would take action in accordance with regulations if any company violated the rules.

"Report it. We will take action later. There can be no withholding of diplomas. That's not allowed," he said.

During the handover of the ministry's assistance for disaster-affected areas, the minister also observed a number of training sessions at the Medan BBPVP.

He stated that the training provided at BBPVP was utilized by the community to improve their work skills.

"I just visited it in person. I know someone who used to train here, but now he has his own business and employees. This is great," he said.

"This training is a concrete step by the ministry to prepare vocational workers in Indonesia," he added.
