According to IRNA correspondent in Turkey, President Gul made the comment at a joint press conference with the visiting President of Nigeria Goodluck Jonathan adding, "The rapid process of power transfer in accordance with the people's will and desire is of a very high importance."
Emphasizing the importance of restoration of peace, security, and stability in Egypt, he added, "The more the people's will would be honored, the sooner the power transfer would occur."
The president of Turkey added, "Turkey pursues the developments of Egypt closely and thoroughly, and Egypt's stability, security and power, as a friend and brother country of Turkey is important for us."
Earlier in the week Turkey's Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, too, had addressed President Husni Mubarak, "People's voice must be heard!" (*)
