Monique, who is also an American singer and actress, dedicated to impact young people from over the world including Indonesia through her platform called `gimmemo`.
"I`m so delighted to be here to tell every single young man and woman in Indonesia about how to develop themselves as well as for a better place in the world," said Monique who once starred in a famous Hollywood high-school musical movie here Monday (Feb 21) evening.
In the discussion on Indonesian youth concerns, Monique shared her experiences with all Indonesian youth guests about daily problems found, like education and bullying.
She said she was so sympathy to the young people who got bullied at schools.
"I have so much compassion for persons who are bullied, because I had experienced also bullying and it was absolutely not nice at all. The thing that I did for people who bullied me was to look at their eyes and tried to show them that `hey, I love you man`," she said.
Monique also encouraged all the youth who attended the discussion to be confident, powerful and passionate in order to achieve their dreams.
"The power of youthful is foreseen and we have to understand each other as well as we have passion and self confidence for the entire positive things we do," she said.
As her duty to be the UN youth champion, she had commitment to spread her campaign by inviting all youth people in the world to act more for the goodness of the world.
"Throughout the year, I`ll be traveling the world to experience first hand the most pressing issues facing today?s youth. My hope is to inspire, motivate and empower youth to become involved n service and to highlight the amazing achievements of youth across the globe," she said.
