The ministers, who included Environment Minister Gusti Muhammad Hatta, Industry Minister MS Hidayat, Forestry Minister Zulkifli Hasan, Transportation Minister Freddy Numberi, Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Minister Fadel Muhammad and Head of the Investment Coordination Board (BKPM) Gita Wirjawan, arrived at Raja Haji Fisabilillah airport aboard of different planes beginning at 8.30 at on Sunday.
Agriculture Minister Suswono and National Economic Committee Chaerul Tanjung meanwhile arrived at the airport aboard of a special jet plane.
A number of ministers have previously arrived in Tanjungpinang to accompany the president. They are among others Coordinating Minister for the People`s Wefare Agung Laksono, Chief Economic Minister Hatta Rajasa, Minister of Culture and Tourism Jero Wacik, Defense Minister Purnomo Yusgiantoro and Minister/State Secretary Sudi Silalahi.
Until 9.0 am no official explanations on the substance of the meeting had been provided by the State Palace.
President Susilo on his first day of his visit in Riau Islands province said on Friday that he would hold a meeting with his ministers on Sunday before he leaves for Jakarta.
The president asked regional government officials in Riau Islands to provide reports on the implementation of development and investment in their respective regions.
"I hope that the implementation of the development and investment would be provided for us in a complete presentation," the head of state said on his first day of his visit in the province on Friday.
The president is schedule to leave for Jakarta after holding the meeting and was scheduled to arrive in Jakarta at 13.05 pm.
President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and his entourage arrived in Tanjungpinang, Riau Islands Province, from Brunei Darussalam on Friday.
The president arrived at Raja Haji Fisabillilah airport around 11.30 am Western Indonesia Standard Time (WIB) after a two-day working visit to Brunei Darussalam to discuss increasing cooperation in various fields with that country.
