Benigno arrived at Merdeka Palace at 10 in the morning and was greeted by his Indonesian counterpart.
After that the two leaders headed to an honorary podium for the state welcoming ceremony.
The procession of welcoming ceremony was started with the chanting of the two countries anthems, accompanied by 21 gun salutes.
Then the two leaders examined the participants troop of the ceremony which was attended by a number of cabinet ministers and officials from the Philippines.
After the welcoming ceremony, the two leaders posed for a photograph and then followed with a limited meeting.
The delegation from the two countries also had a bilateral meeting to discuss a number of issues related to the relations between Indonesia and the Philippines.(*)
