Washington (ANTARA News/AFP) - A senior officer of the foreign forces in Afghanistan pledged Wednesday to help bring to justice those responsible for the assassination of President Hamid Karzai`s powerful half-brother.

German Army Major General Richard Rossmanith, the deputy chief of staff for stability of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), said it was premature to assess Taliban claims it killed Ahmed Wali Karzai.

"ISAF will support the Afghan government in every possible way to bring to justice those involved in the murder of Ahmed Wali Karzai," Rossmanith told reporters at the Pentagon by videoconference. (*)
