Jakarta (ANTARA News) - State-owned telecommunications operator PT Telkom has been named the best firm which consistently contributes the biggest income to the state.

Alpha Southeast Asia provided PT Telcom with an award for the "Most Consistent Dividend Policy & Strongest Adherence to Corporate Governance" at its 5th Annual Best Financial Institutional Award 2011 here on Monday.

PT Telkom`s President Director Rinaldi Firmansyah said his company was considered able to consistently provide benefits for its shareholders and positively provide values for their investments.

"The award that we get from the international institution further gives us a motivation to provide the best service for all stakeholders," the PT Telkom president director said.

He said that the award was also inseparable from Telkom`s fundamental performance which continued to show an encouraging trend.

"This is a concrete contribution by Telkom to the state through the ever growing development of dividends," he added.

From year to year, Telkom has continued to significantly contribute to the state various forms of taxes, dividends and others.

In 2010, Telkom was able to significantly contribute Rp20 trillion to the state.

"Although competition among operators went on stiffly Telkom remained in its commitment to providing the best for the country`s economy," Rinaldi said.

The company was able to post a net profit of Rp11.5 trillion.
