Madiun, East Java (ANTARA News) - Democratic Party chairman Anas Urbaningrum has said a cabinet reshuffle would not be affected by coalition parties.

Speaking at a function to mark the anniversary of Democratic Party here on Sunday, Anas said President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono could pick ministers from any background regardless of their potical party affiliation

The important thing, according to Anas, was that the new prospective ministers should be the right men their wright places.

"The cabinet reshuffle is intended to reorder the government performance, and therefore there should be no dichotomy of ministers from this or that party because it is in accordance with presidential government," Anas said.

He said President Yudhoyono would certainly have an interest that the ministers he picked up had a good performance and background , and therefore let the head of state and his cabinet without being influenced by whatever tendencies.

According to Anas, there would be a fresh new format through the cabinet reshuffle in order to make the government in the next three years more effective and productive.

"Give the president freedom to reshuffle his cabinet," Anasa said.

However, he added that a coalition of parties was still running as a form of initial commitment to run a good government.
