Sigi, Central Sulawesi (ANTARA News) - Three bodies have been evacuated from floods in Bolapapu village, Sigi district, Central Sulawesi province on Sunday, while the other three persons were still missing, an official said.

The three bodies who were found at 08.00 am local time, identified as Murni,50, Suci,8 and Melati,45, said Suarta, head of Kulawi subdistrict, Sigi district said, adding that Murni and Suci were found around one kilometer away from their resident in Bolapapu village.

Meanwhile, Melati was found in her house that was devastated by the massive floods.

The flood inundated hundreds of houses in Bolepapu village, Kulawi sub-district due to an overflow of a river following hours of incessant rains on Saturday (Dec. 3).

According to Suarta, the flood also damaged the only road to the flood-hit village, causing the failure of foods distribution to the flood-devastated areas.

The floods also caused the power services to the flood-hit areas cut off.

In the meantime, Livingstone, deputy of Sigi district head visited the flood-devastated on Saturday (Dec.3) in effort to organize the foods distribution for the victims.
